Alberta Somali Community Center (ASCC) is non-profit organization that works to foster an Alberta where Canadian Somalis, as part of the multicultural fabric of this country, live in and contribute fully into Alberta Society with the eventual goal of full integration.

 
Alberta Somali Community Center will: 
 
1.      Proactively defend the security, status and rights of the community;
 
2.      Seek the support of various levels of governments on a range of policy issues identified by members of the community;
 
3.      Work with all levels of government on issues of importance to Canadian Somalis in Alberta;
 
4.      Promote community empowerment through civic participation;
 
5.      Promote the values of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms in Canada;
 
6.      Engage the Alberta media in order to promote a positive media image of the community.
